Eating Differently in Isolation? Nutrition & Eating Tips During COVID-19

Have you noticed a change in your eating habits over the last several weeks? Maybe you’re eating more, eating at odd times or eating foods you feel you “shouldn’t”? What you’re experiencing is completely normal.

Dealing with the current COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult for everyone. Our lives have changed in innumerable ways. We’re spending more time cooped up at home and when we do go out, whether it be for groceries, a walk, or to work for essential services, doing so is a more stressful experience.

Stress is hitting us from every angle — the news, our bank statements, even just a quick trip to the store is a totally different experience than pre-COVID. On top of that, our routines have been thrown off and we may not have access to the same stress relievers we once did.

In a time of so much change and fear it is completely natural that our eating habits change. We have both a physical and an emotional relationship to food and at a time like this, both of these relationships are strained.

So what can you do to nourish your body and your mind during this challenging time? Check out my latest video on eating and nutrition tips during social isolation.

I hope you found this video helpful. If you have any further questions on food and nutrition during COVID isolation, don’t hesitate to leave them below or shoot me a message.
